Officers in Clacton are clamping down on adapted electric bikes after two bikes were seized.
Essex Police officers reported another success in reducing antisocial behaviour involving young people riding around dangerously on adapted electric bikes in the town centre.
On Monday, the force seized two bikes after youngsters were seen during a patrol.
Now, two more bikes were seized that were recently seen to ride in an “antisocial manner throughout the town centre”.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “If you, or someone you know possess a bike you suspect does not conform to the rules and regulations, we urge you to ensure it is road legal and is being ridden in a responsible and considered manner, to avoid the expense of having the bike seized.
“Officers will continue to tackle this issue robustly, to ensure the town centre is a safer place to enjoy.”
