A policing team in Clacton are clamping down on adapted electric bikes after several reports of antisocial behaviour.
The Clacton town centre team have been attempting to deal with the issue of adapted electric bikes after several reports of young people riding around dangerously.
On Friday, February 28, officers on patrol in the town seized two adapted bikes which were being ridden in an "antisocial" manner.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "If you, or someone you know possess a bike you suspect does not conform to the rules and regulations, we urge you to ensure it is road legal and is being ridden in a responsible and considered manner to avoid the expense of having the bike seized.
"Officers will continue to tackle this issue robustly to ensure the town centre is a safer place to enjoy."
