A LITERATURE event will be held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of a classic book and TV series.
Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome will be hosting Wings & Words, which celebrates Flambards, written by Kathy Peyton MBE.
Kathy Peyton will be on site to sign books and hold a Q&A session, along with Historian, Dr Viv Newman who has published many books on First World War Women.
The British Printing Society will also be on site with a selection of printers and will be able to talk through the process of book printing.
The Ambulance Shed will also provide an atmospheric setting for a poetry corner for children and adults.
A delicious variety of cakes and cheesecakes from Tiptree Patisserie will be available in The Mess with coffee and tea.
The event will conclude with an operetta, called The Orderly Room that was written in the trenches more than 100 years ago. It will be the first performance since 1917.
Entrance price is £10 per adult, on the door, children are free.
Ian Flint, Chief Executive of Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, said: “It is great to be able to welcome such esteemed authors to our site and have the opportunity to chat with them about their amazing books and knowledge.”
It takes place on September 3.
