HARRY Lennon could be back in contention for Southend United’s clash with Peterborough United tonight.
The centre-back missed Saturday’s 4-0 defeat at Lincoln City with the head knock he suffered against Stevenage.
But Blues boss Kevin Bond is hopeful Lennon will be fit to feature this evening.
“I’m hoping he will be available,” said Bond.
“There’s a protocol you have to follow after a whack on the head which I think is seven days. Hopefully if he ticks all the boxes then he will be available for us.”
However, Jason Demetriou and Liam Ridgewell are not ready to feature.
“Jason isn’t available and Liam is going through a bit of a pre-season schedule,” added Bond.
