BARBARA Law returned home with a hard-earned bronze medal from the Gijon ITU Duathlon World Championships.
The Great Bentley Running Club member was among 640 athletes from across the world taking part, including big teams from Spain, America and South Africa.
The first run was ten kilometres, made up of four 2.5km laps.
Then came two laps of approximately 20km on the bike, with each having a three-mile climb, plus a quick dash up and down the sea front.
The athletes then had to get their running shoes on again for the final two laps of 2.5km.
