FORMER FC Clacton assistant manager Adrian Webster has updated his football book Circle of Life to include a chapter on his time with the Seasiders.
The ex-Colchester United player and coach was at the club until the end of last season, working alongside first-team boss Tom Austin.
He was a key part of the club finishing a record-breaking sixth in the Thurlow Nunn League.
Now he has updated his book Circle of Life, bringing a close to his illustrious football journey that spanned over 50 years.
His career took him from his home in Colchester to Vancouver BC, Seattle, Pittsburgh, Phoenix and finally back to north Essex.
During that time he played for the Seattle Sounders, from 1974 to 1979, where he played against his two idols, Pele and George Best.
In the book he explains that he had to call it a day in the summer due to having back surgery on October 10 and perhaps another hip replacement in 2020.
Webster plans to make another donation to Children with Cancer on October 20.
This will be four years after having surgery for bowel cancer.
