THE 2019 season of the Clacton Singles League has drawn to a close, with the presentation night taking place on Saturday.

Over 100 players took part in the competition, which has residence at Pot Black in Pier Avenue.

They competed across seven pool divisions, three snooker divisions and one American nine-ball pool division.

Aidan Owens successfully defended his title of Eight-Ball Pool Singles League champion and also picked up the title of Nine-Ball champion.

Keith Percival, from Kirby Cross, was crowned champion of the Snooker League Cup while Billy Kyle won the Eight-Ball Pool League Cup.

The Clacton Singles League is a snooker and pool competition open to all players of any ability.

It is played in a league format but players play as individuals rather than teams.

Entry is now open for the next season, which starts in November.
