FRINTON Golf Club hosted the Coastal Golf Academy's Junior Open - part of the Essex Golf Union’s Community Tour.
Sixty-nine juniors took part from across the county.
The course was playing well, with a testing breeze to compete with.
The juniors were split into two age groups - under-14s and under-18s.
There were some superb scores and none more so than Colne Valley’s Ralph Barker Smith, who returned an amazing 47 points to win the under-14 category.
The other under-14 category winner was Colchester's Edward Mason, who scored a very credible 39 points.
The higher-handicap category of the under-18s was won by Chelmsford’s Lauren Gowers, with a great score of 41 points.
The lower-handicap category was won by Max Oats, with 37 points, who plays at Woolston Manor Golf Club.
The next Junior Open will be played at Colne Valley Golf Club on Sunday, July 14.
