CLACTON Golf Club's juniors played for the O’Boyle Shield.

In poor conditions with very high winds, Milo Locke emerged victorious with a score of -3.

In second place was Harrison Dove and Henry Goodwin was third.

Meanwhile, the club held their AGM.

Over 100 members attended the meeting.

There were many important issues to discuss and elections being fought.

John Richmond is the new golf club chairman.

Dave Gilbert was elected unopposed to continue as greens director and Barry Joyce was elected as vice-captain for 2019/20 and club captain for 2010/21.

Wilf Elliott becomes the new juniors' captain and John Kemp put on the coveted green blazer and will be club captain for 2019/20.

As is tradition, Kemp purchased all members present a welcome drink at the AGM.

On Sunday, the new captain took on outgoing captain Alfie Smith in the Moss Oldman Trophy.

In a highly-competitive but well-spirited match, again played in quite windy conditions, Smith’s team took the honours.

After the match, the obligatory captain's drive-in took place.

The club wishes to thank Smith for all he has done during his year and would also like to wish Kemp all the very best for his year, in which his chosen charity is the Essex Air Ambulance.
