CLACTON Swimming Club achieved their best results ever at this year’s Essex Age Group Championships.
The event was held at the London Aquatics Centre and Basildon pool over four weekends in February.
Fifteen swimmers achieved county times last year and were therefore able to compete.
Despite this being the first time competing in a 50m pool for some of them, they all achieved personal bests in one or more of their races.
Four swimmers made it to the finals - Anita Tien, Millie Hearne, Grace Turner and Izzy Young.
The most outstanding performance, however, came from Izzy, who reached the finals (top six) in six of her races and was in the top seven overall in her 10/11 age group.
Following this success, she has been selected to attend the England Talent County Camp later in 2019.
