As the wintery weather gave Essex a bone-chilling blast, there were some results that left local football clubs with a warm and rosy glow.
One of those came at Wivenhoe Town in Thurlow Nunn League division one south, but it certainly wasn't for the hosts as visiting Brightlingsea Regent Reserves won 8-0.
It meant the R's reserves posted back-to-back wins for the first time in the league and did so with clean sheets both times and photographer Steve Brading was at the GMP Plant Hire Stadium to capture the action on a chilly day.
