SOUTHEND Saxons will be aiming for a fourth successive win when they head to Ruislip in London One North tomorrow.

The three successive victories have moved Southend up to ninth in the standings.

And Saxons skipper Ian Morrison feels his side’s confidence is now sky high.

“The wins have given us a huge amount of confidence,” said Morrison.

“We now have that belief as a group and we know what we are capable of because we have the evidence to back that in our recent outcomes.

“We have always believed and since the start of the season we have performed well but perhaps let ourselves down in brief moments of our matches.

“But now those moments are shifting in our favour and we want to keep that going.”

Saxons saw off Fullerians 41-13 before winning 52-10 against Diss and 34-5 against Sudbury last time out.

However, they were without a game last weekend and Morrison also feels that will have boosted his team.

“The break has been good for the group and has allowed us some time to recharge,” said Morrison.

“If anything the boys have now come back even hungrier to continue with our good performances.

“It’s been a good run of games with the positive outcomes we wanted and some exciting rugby being played.

“We are a determined group however and want to continue our good performances into the next block.

“But Ruislip will be focused and we’ve got to handle that.”
