MATT Eve's early strike was enough to see FC CLACTON advance to the third round of this season's FA Vase.
The in-form Seasiders defeated Kirkley and Pakefield 1-0, at the Rush Green Bowl.
The sides knew each other well, having already met in the league and twice in the FA Cup, and it was Tom Austin's team who prevailed thanks to an early goal from Eve.
The striker pounced in the eighth minute to turn home a left-wing cross from new signing Max Booth.
Clacton pocketed £900 for their victory and they now go into Monday's draw, with third-round matches due to take place on December 1.
