IT was a busy weekend for Clacton Swimming Club, who were in action at two different Open meets.
On Saturday, the club's novice team went to Ipswich.
For many of their swimmers, it was the first gala they had taken part in.
Their enthusiasm and excitement at the beginning of the session continued as medals were won, including three golds.
The medal tally continued to grow on Sunday, as members of Clacton's competition team went to Braintree to compete in the Halsted Open.
It was another successful day, with all swimmers achieving personal bests in almost all their races.
The weekend was capped off when Izzy Young was awarded the Top Girl of the Day award.
This was in the under-ten age group, for winning three gold, two silver and one bronze medal.
