CLACTON Bowls Club’s A team have made a great start to their Windsor League title defence.
They have managed 17 points from their first two games – a 10-0 win at Parkeston and a 7-3 home victory over Holland-on-Sea.
Clacton B began with an 8-2 home loss to Brightlingsea.
However, they reversed that score at Frinton A.
In the Premier League, Clacton won their first match 8-0 at Wivenhoe B.
In the Stanford League, they lost their first match 5-3 at home to Wivenhoe.
In the ladies’ Tendring Hundred League, Clacton A lost 4-2 at home to Frinton B, while Clacton B won 6-0 at home to Thorpe B.
Clacton played a friendly at Thorrington.
They won two of the three rinks but lost on the overall score.
They also entertained Tudor Bowls and won by five rinks to two, by an overall score of 154-112.
