April 12 is a date many of us have been looking forward to since the roadmap out of lockdown was first announced.

With non-essential retail set to welcome customers back through their doors tomorrow, we've saved you the job of searching to find out which of your favourite shops will once again be open to the public.

Whether it's self-care, clothing, beauty or homeware there is something here for you.

Here is a list of some of the stores across Southend and Basildon which will open when restrictions are eased.

Debenhams

Clacton and Frinton Gazette:

Debenhams has confirmed its stores in Basildon and Southend will re-open tomorrow.

The brand's shops will re-open for a final closing down sale, set to offer up to 70 per cent off fashion and home products, and up to 50 per cent off beauty and fragrance lines.

The stores will start to close permanently from May 2, with the stock clearance completed and final stores expected to close by May 15.

All Debenhams stores have been made Covid-secure, with appropriate hygiene and social distancing measures in place.

Primark

Clacton and Frinton Gazette:

All 153 Primark stores in England will be opening their doors up and down the country from April 12.

The company, which has stores in Basildon and Southend, will offer extended opening hours when they re-open tomorrow in a bid to reduce queues and give customers more space and time to shop safely.

For the first week initially, stores will open for two extra hours a day, typically an hour earlier and later, with times varying by store.

The stores in Southend and Basildon will all be opening at 8am and closing at 7pm.

Our Remedy

Clacton and Frinton Gazette:

This new shop is finally set to open more than a year after it had originally planned.

Our Remedy had signed a lease for its store in London Road, Leigh, at the start of the very first national lockdown last March.

But the team were forced to turn their attention to online sales after seeing opening dates consistently postponed.

And with stores finally being given the go-ahead to re-open from tomorrow, Our Remedy joins the list of shops set to be open to the public.

They offer a range of sustainably packaged self-care products, including teas and ingestible wellness oils.

Card Factory

Clacton and Frinton Gazette:

Card Factory have confirmed a number of their south Essex stores will be re-opening tomorrow, including their shops in Basildon and Rayleigh.

Customers will once again be able to head in store and pick up a card for any occasion - or even grab a balloon, badge or banner.

The Rayleigh store is based on Rayleigh High Street, while there are a number of shops across Basildon including in the town square, Wickford, Billericay, at Eastgate Shopping Centre, at Pipps Hill Retail Park and in Pitsea.
