BASILDON’S next generation of bright young engineers are set to lead the way for the future of the industry, pandemic or not.
With the next cohort of brilliant minds concerned about their future in the field, engineering company Leonardo, which has a site in Christopher Martin Road, Basildon, does not just want to attract talent, but also wants to keep staff for the long-term.
And by giving young people the opportunities to express their new ideas, the firm has seen just how eager they can be to succeed.
UK innovation manager Tom Pitchforth, who oversees innovation activities at Leonardo’s Basildon site, wants to ensure the expertise of existing engineers helps the next generation feel fearless about what they can achieve.
He said: “Our job is to give them a clear path ahead and as much empowerment as we can. I’m excited to see where their innovation will take us next.”
