A FIFTH person has been charged with murdering a man in Westcliff.

Leon Wright, 31, of Highbury New Park, will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today.

He has been charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated burglary and possession of cannabis.

Police responded to reports of a disturbance at a property on Tintern Avenue, Westcliff, at around 4.25am on Thursday December 12 last year.

Sadly, Asqeri Spaho, 25, died as a result of stab wounds, and a second man was taken to hospital with injuries.

Three other men have also been charged with murder, attempted murder and aggravated burglary.

Scott Heaney 22, of Hurlock Street, Highbury; Brian Kincloch, 31, of Beachcroft Way, Upper Holloway, and 31-year-old Wesley Hendrickson from Ashcroft Close in Enfield, are due to stand trial at Basildon Crown Court later this year.

A fourth, 27-year-old Durald Sokoli of Ayley Croft in Enfield, faces charges of murder, attempted murder and possession of cannabis.

Police continue to appeal for information on the whereabouts of 28-year-old Mitchell Harris in connection with a disturbance at the property. He has links to Highbury in London.

A 31-year-old man from Tottenham, arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and possession of cannabis, has since been released under investigation.

Two 21-year-old men arrested in connection with our investigation have since been released without charge.
