A CHARITY which helps veterans is reaching out to those who need support.
Southend's Armed Forces Charity (SSAFA) has upped its volunteers to help with things like shopping, and phone calls to check in on the vulnerable and isolated members of the military community.
Chel Turner-Everett, divisional secretary, said: “Here at SSAFA Southend, we are committed to supporting local service personnel, veterans and their families.
"Our volunteers are working remotely from their homes and are available to help as best they can during this difficult and uncertain time.”
Please visit ssafa.org.uk or call 01702 463 113 to find out more or receive help from SSAFA Southend.
