Two men have appeared in court charged with murder. 

Scott Heaney and Brian Kincloch appeared at Southend Magistrates Court this morning. 

The pair are charged with murdering 25-year-old Asqeri Spaho during a disturbance in Tintern Avenue, Westcliff, at about 4.25am on Thursday, December 12.

During the incident, a second man was also injured after being stabbed.

He is now recovering from his injuries. 

Heaney, 22, of Hurlock Street, Highbury, and Kincloch, 31, of Balcroft Way, London, are also charged with attempted murder and aggravated burglary. 

The pair were not asked to enter pleas to the charges and were told by chairman of the magistrates bench Ian Currie they will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Monday. 

Murder detectives have also revealed they are actively looking for two other men in connection with the incident.

They have named Wesley Hendrickson, 31, and Mitchell Harris, 28.

A 31-year-old man from Tottenham has also been arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, and possession of Class A drugs.

He has been released on bail until Thursday, March 24. 

A 27-year-old from Enfield was arrested on Saturday, December 28, on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and possession of drugs.

He has been released on bail until Friday, March 27.
