IT workers from Leigh held a fund-raising night in memory of their brothers.

Dan Power and Paul Dawes, both 46 from Leigh, lost their brothers and parents to cancer.

After meeting in Ibiza two years ago, they decided to pair their love for house music with the desire to raise money for Macmillan Nurses who helped them and their relatives before their deaths.

Dan said: “We are both determined to succeed and the reason why we are doing this is because you get all the care and help you need with the Macmillan team.

“They are incredible at a time when you are at your most vulnerable.”

The event was held on Saturday at the Kings Head Member’s Club in London, with £5 from each £15 ticket fee going to Macmillan Nurses.

The total amount raised for the charity is still being counted.
