A PERSONAL trainer has shaved her waist-length hair to donate to those suffering cancer.
Laura Crofts, 36, a mum of two and fitness instructor from Rayleigh, made the bold decision to cut off the majority of her hair at the Toppers hairdresser on Rayleigh High Street on December 7.
Ms Crofts made herself a promise that if she could fundraise £500 for her cause she would shave off all of her hair.
She has eclipsed this target and raised £1,200 to give to the Little Princess Trust alongside her own hair.
The hair will go to children who have lost hair through chemotherapy treatments for cancer to be made into a wig, with the additional funds going directly to the charity.
Ms Crofts, of Kings Close, said: "I was overwhelmed with the amount of money I received and true to my word I cut off all my hair to give to the Little Princess Trust.
"It's a wonderful feeling, I'm a personal trainer and volunteer, and this is another step closer in my mission to help as many people as I can in my lifetime."
