A man was cut with a knife during an attempted robbery in Shoebury.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was walking along Elm Road when another man approached him and attempted to take something from the victim's back pocket at around 7pm on October 15.
The victim pushed the man away and the man cut the victim with a knife before running off towards Asda Supermarket.
The victim was taken to hospital with a cut to his forearm.
Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Southend CID on 101, quoting incident 1078 of October 15.
