KEEN photographers have been out snapping the wild animals and weather over the long bank holiday weekend.

Over the past week members of our camera club have captured everything from the harsh thunder storms which battered the UK, sunsets over the long weekend, to calm and serene fuzzy ducklings venturing out.

This week the varying weather has been captured within these beautiful images as there is a stark contrast of the calm sunsets in Shoebury compared to angry lightning strikes across Southend.

In between the blustery showers, residents have been out enjoying the sunshine in a bid to capture blooming bright flowers, spider’s webs and wild animals animals roaming around.

The poised image of a wild fox and a bird is one that photographers won’t come across often and the macro image of a dragonfly captures the mini-beast’s yellow wings.

The camera club now has more than 1,000 members where keen snappers, amateurs or professionals capture parts of Southend, Basildon, Canvey and everything in between.

Thousands of images have been captured since it started and those who are involved can post their pictures to the group to share, critique or offer advice to novice photographers.
