MORE than 14,000 people in Maldon have now received both Covid jabs, new figures reveal.
NHS data shows 15,564 people had received both jabs by April 25 which represents 29 per cent of those aged 16 and over based on population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.
Of those to have received both jabs, 14,286 were aged 45 and over – 39 per cent of the age group.
It means 1,278 people aged between 16 and 44 have received both doses.
The figures also show 38,717 people in Maldon have received at least one jab which is 71 per cent of over 16s.
Areas with the highest coverage of first dose:
• Great Totham, Wickham Bishops & Woodham, 77 per cent
• Burnham-on-Crouch, 74.3 per cent
• Maldon South, 72.8 per cent
Areas with the lowest coverage for first dose:
• Maldon North, 67.8 per cent
• Heybridge, 68.4 per cent
• Southminster, Bradwell & Dengie Peninsula, 68.4 per cent
