Road reopened following serious collision
POLICE have reopened a road which was closed for several hours following a serious collision.
Essex Police shut a section of the B1033 between Weeley and Thorpe-le-Soken shortly after 11am this morning.
The closure came after a pedestrian was involved in a serious collision with a lorry in Colchester Road.
As a result, a man in his 70s was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and he remains at the facility.
