A RAILWAY museum is going full steam ahead to put on more days of fun for train buffs.

The East Anglian Railway Museum at Chappel Station is urging enthusiasts to enjoy its late summer steam days.

The experience started last month and lets visitors get up close to the museum’s collection of steam trains and vintage carriages.

Now the museum is set to host its final events over the coming two Sundays.

A spokesman said: “One of our steam engines will be running along our quarter-mile track on these relaxed operating dates and you will be able to ride in the carriage behind so bring the family, bring a picnic and spend the day with us.

“You will be able to wander up to and inside the signal box, around the working restoration shed, learn about the history of the rail travel in the heritage centre and check out our wonderful Victorian goods shed.”

The museum is open from 10am until 5pm.

Tickets are £5 for under-17s and £10 for adults, with a discount for buying online at earm.co.uk.
