RESIDENTS can expect delays as a village street is closed for up to more than a week.
Roadworks are being carried out on Bayley Street in Castle Hedingham which will see the stretch of road completely close.
Drivers will be forced to divert around the roadworks which are expected to start today (Thursday 17 September).
The roadworks are being carried out by County Broadband and is a continuation of the project seen in recent weeks to install fibre optic broadband in the village.
A permit has been taken out for the roadworks which lasts until Friday 25 September remaining the works could last for more than a week.
However, it is hoped the work can be finished before Friday.
Traffic will be diverted along Yeldham Road, Queen Street and St James’ Street while the work takes place.
