A PARISH council has called on residents to complete a survey about its Neighbourhood Plan.

To ensure the plan reflects the views of the community, Ardleigh residents have been invited to express their opinion.

A spokesman for Ardleigh Parish Council said: “This is an initial simple survey to help us understand what your thoughts are about Ardleigh.

“It is vital that all members of your household, including young people, complete this survey to help shape the future development of the whole parish area.”

The Neighbourhood Plan area includes Ardleigh Heath, Fox Street, Crockleford Heath, Burnt Heath, areas at the top of Ipswich Road and all the homes and businesses within the parish.

A Neighbourhood Plan is a document that enables local communities to have a say in the future development of their area, but it is not a document which can prevent all future development.

It can be used to choose where future development should be built, including shops, homes and offices, to decide what infrastructure should be provided, to designate local green spaces and to influence what new buildings should look like.
