A VIDEO has been widely shared on social media which appears to show a car being driven at a person on Southend seafront.
Alarming footage filmed yesterday evening, at around 9pm, appears to show a black Ford Fiesta driving along grass in Thorpe Bay Gardens towards someone standing by a white car.
The person then jumps out of the way and runs off, while the black car crashes into a parked vehicle.
A group of people then ran towards the white parked up car, kicking it and hit it with what appears to be a bat.
