AN OUTSTANDING care agency has praised its staff for rallying round to care for vulnerable adults in the community during the coronavirus pandemic.

Rebecca Read, office manager at Daisy Chain Home Support, in Manningtree, said the team deserves to be thanked for its continuous hard work, especially as part of National Carers Week this week.

Rebecca, of New Road, Mistley, said: “It’s been tough keeping a small business going during this time, with lack of PPE and some carers needing to shield.

“But the whole team has rallied round ensuring the service continues at the highest of standards.

“We have also been truly blown away by the donations from the community and relatives who have made PPE and donated equipment.

“Our ladies are a testament to the dedication and commitment that all carers have and we have managed to support our clients during this time with minimal changes to their routine.”

The agency which covers Manningtree, Mistley, Lawford, Bradfield, Dedham, Brantham, Holbrook, Stutton, Raydon and East Bergholt has 18 staff members, including 15 carers.
