Letter: More Harwich councillors should turn down allowance increase
I WAS very pleased to read in last week’s Standard that the Harwich Labour councillors on Tendring Council had turned down the increase in their allowances I hope the rest of the members will be shamed into doing the same especially the leader.
In the present time with people not being able to go to work an 18 per cent increase is disgusting.
