A TRAMPOLINE club is jumping for joy after securing a £1,000 grant from a developer.

Colchester's Hi-Tension Trampoline Club has received the donation from Persimmon Homes Suffolk as part of the firm's Community Champions scheme.

The cash will be used to develop youngsters talent through additional coaching, as well as to continue inclusive recreational classes at the club's Leisure World base.

Lucy Woodhall, sales director at Persimmon Homes Suffolk, said: "We strive to support grassroots sports clubs who help to create a real sense of community in the areas where we build.

“We are proud to be supporting Hi-Tension Trampoline Club, which does sterling work with a huge section of youngsters in Colchester.

“If groups have been unsuccessful in their previous Community Champions application, we urge them to visit the Persimmon Homes website and to try again. Hopefully they will be our next winner.”
