A section of the A12 closed due to a car fire.
The north and south sections of the road between Kelvedon, junction 24, and Marks Tey, junction 25, were shut at around 1pm this afternoon.
The southbound side has now reopened, but the northbound section towards Colchester remains closed.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area if at all possible.

UPDATE 2.10pm:
The north side of the road has now also reopened, however delays remain.
