Through your columns I would like to thank all the business premises in the Burnham and Southminster District who had a Royal National Lifeboat Institution Collecting box on their counter.
The total donated by their customers during the year was £3,664.44 which will help provide lifeboat crews and lifeguards with the most modern and efficient equipment to assist them in the objective of saving life at sea.
Thank you to all who contributed towards this total.
During 2019 the Burnham lifeboats were called out 22 times and assisted 21 people in difficulty.
If anyone is interested in joining Burnhamh RNLI please visit the lifeboat station on a Sunday morning between 10 and 11am to discuss how you might be able to help.
