A DEVELOPER will look to get the final green light for its 250-home plan for Kelvedon.
CALA Homes already has outline planning permission to build the new houses on land to the west of the village’s railway station.
It is now asking council bosses to approve its reserved matters application, which provides specific details on the layout and design of the development.
Kelvedon Parish Council has added its support to the scheme after the applicant revised some of its plans.
However, some objections have been submitted to the council, raising concerns that the new homes will not be in keeping with the historic character of Kelvedon.
Councillors will vote on the proposals during a meeting on Tuesday and planning officers have recommended they approve the application.
They argue the designs are of “good quality” and provide “acceptable” living conditions for existing and new residents.
The meeting takes place at Causeway House in Bocking End, Braintree, and gets under way at 7.15pm next Tuesday.
