Hundreds raised in Royal British Legion quiz
HUNDREDS of pounds has been raised from a quiz night.
The event was held at the Crown, in Manningtree, to help the Manningtree and District Royal British Legion.
More than £500 was raised from the event, which was held on Sunday.
A Royal British Legion spokesman said: “A huge thank you to Tony Wallace and his team of staff for a great evening.
“We had 19 teams competing, which was amazing.
“Thank you all so very very much it really shows what a fantastic community we live in here.”
The branch meets on the second Saturday of every month at 1pm for a 1.30pm start.
