A teenager has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Colchester.
A 17-year-old from Woolwich, London, was arrested near his home this afternoon on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
The arrest is in connection with the death of Carl Hopkins, 49, who was found dead in Ryegate Road, Colchester, on Monday, and the stabbing of another man, who was found in George Street, on Sunday, February 10.
The teenager is currently in custody for questioning.
An inquest into Mr Hopkins death is due to open at Essex Coroner's Court today.
