TRAVELLERS have set up three separate encampments across Tendring.
Tendring Council said travellers have set up camp in Clacton, Walton and Harwich.
In total there are 12 caravans across the three sites.
A spokesman for the authority said council officers visited the sites on Thursday.
He added: "The Essex Countywide Traveller Unit is due to serve Direction to Leave notices on Friday morning.
"Officials will continue to monitor the encampments while the legal processes are carried out to remove the travellers from the sites."
One of the camps has been set up at the Coronation car park in Walton, while a second group are at London Road recreation ground in Clacton.
The third group are at Patrick’s Junction, near Phoenix Bridge, Harwich.
A Direction to Leave notice gives travellers 24 hours to move on, following which court action can be taken to evict them.
