STAFF at Tendring Council today paid their respects to those who lost their lives or were affected in any way by the Manchester terror attack.
A one minute’s silence was observed at 11am – along with other local authorities and Government buildings across the country.
Flags at Clacton Town Hall and outside the Weeley Council offices flew at half mast and that will continue through until tomorrow morning.
Ian Davidson, chief executive, said that the thoughts of all staff and councillors were with those who had lost loved ones in the bombing.
“Our thoughts also extend to all those who were injured or were affected in any way by this horrendous and appalling incident,” he said.
“I am aware of at least two Tendring families who had relatives at the concert and fortunately they are all safe and well.
“Today was an opportunity for all at the council to take time out to think of the people of Manchester and what they have been through this week.”
