AMATEUR actors raised money as well as laughs during their latest performance.
The Mad About Theatre Company performed Bedlam and Breakfast at Clacton County High School on Saturday and raised £1,000 for St Helena Hospice.
Group spokesman Indi Allen said: “The original show, written and produced by the Mad team, went down very well with the audience.
“The company has been producing original shows for the past 15 years and would like to thank everyone involved for their support.”
The group’s next production will be a murder mystery at their studio in Gorse Lane on May 9 at 7pm, and workshops for children are being staged in preparation for a youth production on July 3.
