SUPERMARKET giant Asda has been given the final all-clear for a new 24-hour store in Clacton.
Legal agreements with Tendring Council have now been completed and the store is on track to open at the Co-op site, off Oxford Road, by 2016.
The deal includes highway improvements in Valley Road, extra bus stops and new CCTV cameras.
The new store is expected to create up to 300 jobs.
Blueprints for the store were unanimously agreed by the council last month.
