GENEROUS residents at a care home in St Osyth have raised £2,500 for a lifeboat charity.
Residents at Vyntoner House, in Kincaid Road, spent their summer fundraising for Clacton RNLI by hosting quizzes and other events.
An auction, tombola and raffle also took place at a special barbecue and garden party on August 25.
Residents presented a cheque for the sum to volunteer crew members at Clacton lifeboat station, in Hastings Avenue, on Sunday.
A spokesman for the lifeboat station said: “The residents have been holding events throughout the summer to raise money for the lifeboat.
“We would like to express of gratitude to them for helping us to help save lives at sea.”
