A NEW campaign has been launched to blitz litter on the streets of Tendring.
The year-long initiative is designed to tackle litter, street trading and fly-tipping after the issues were highlighted during a survey of residents and holidaymakers.
Council environment boss Nick Turner said the authority would ask parish and town councils, primary schools and community groups to take part.
Staff will also work with groups to carry out extensive litter picks across the district.
The main event of the Tendring Tidy campaign will be a spring clean week starting on May 13.
To take part or suggest areas which need cleaning up, call 01255 686767 by March 31.
