I FIND myself getting more and more upset at the number of our elderly people who seem to be tripping and falling on the pavements in Pier Avenue, Clacton, lately.
It seems to happen on a regular basis.
Every time I go into town, there seems to be a paramedic car or ambulance, tending to someone who seems to have misjudged the height of the kerbs.
I understand that the slightly higher kerb does help when getting on a bus but there are various rails to hold onto when getting onto a bus.
So do we really need this variation in kerb size?
It seems to be giving so many people especially those with impaired vision such a problem.
Am I worrying unnecessarily or is this a real problem?
