Freedom of speech and expression is everyone’s right in this country, but yet it is not fully appreciated by some.
The law is an ass on this particular subject, well out of date and yet still enforceable. Our posters in St Osyth are not advertising material, only a way of keeping the population well informed of the proposals submitted to change their lives forever.
I have no idea who it was that complained about the SOS displaying their posters individually, but who ever it was has a huge debt to pay our brave servicemen, for doing what they do to protect them and their family’s freedom.
A small number of small minded people will always go against democracy.
We see it in many countries where they try to suppress the vast majority. Out of the many posters on display in private properties only three are on listed buildings.
None of the posters are displayed without consent of owners, and in fact they are displayed by hundreds in support of the SOS campaign to protect our environment. Many other organisations are doing the same.
This is the time to express your feelings.
Use the freedom you have to protest against such monstrous development.
