MENTAL health charities in north Essex are set to share in £20million of funding.
The Government and Comic Relief is supplying the cash to charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness to try to end stigma and discrimination related to mental illness.
It will go towards the Time to Change programme run by both charities which aims to teach more people what it is like to have a mental health problem.
Sue Baker, director of the Time to Change Director programme, said: “Mind and Rethink Mental Illness are grateful for this new funding which will make a difference to the lives of millions of people – those with mental health problems and those around them.”
