A CHURCH is appealing for blankets to help the homeless this Christmas.
Members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, in Wellesley Road, Clacton, decided to take up the cause as other churchs run a soup kitchen during the winter.
Blankets, fleeces, duvets, sleeping bags and camping mats are all useful to help keep the needy warm during the colder months.
They are also looking for small fleeces that could be used to keep dogs warm.
If you have a suitable item for donation you can deliver it to the church, at 66 Wellesley Road, between 10am and noon on Thursdays or on Saturday afternoons.
Alternatively people can call 07530 076781 to arrange collection or a different time for the church to be open.
