A GO-SLOW OAP motorist drove 20 miles from Thorpe le Soken to Marks Tey at speeds as LOW as 10mph.
Caroline Turner, 76, sparked a major police operation on Tuesday night after driving the wrong way round a roundabout and veering onto the wrong side of the road towards oncoming vehicles.
The pensioner was followed from Thorpe le Soken by an unmarked police car.
She was eventually pulled over on the A12 at Marks Tey but only after police were forced to form a rolling roadblock and close the highway.
At one point a police officer got out of his car to run alongside Turner's Ford Fiesta and tapped on the window to tell her to pull over.
The pensioner had ignored emergency flashing blue lights.
Turner, of Fairholme Avenue, Gidea Park, Romford, admitted driving without due care and attention and failing to stop for the police.
She was banned from driving for a year and fined £100, with £100 costs, by Colchester magistrates.
