JAYWICK could be set to benefit from millions of pounds of investment according to its two councillors.

Dan Casey and Nick Brown say developers have approached them wanting to build houses, shops and a doctors’ surgery in the Brooklands area of the village.

So far investment worth an estimated £4 million has been offered for the area by the developers, who wish to remain anonymous at present.

Councillors Brown and Casey now want to set up a Jaywick Investment Group to attract other investors to get involved in the area, and present their ideas to council leaders later this month.
